The following is one of the stanzas in a song, published in
the Baltimore Advertiser, May 12th, on occasion of the
alliance which the rebels presume now exists betwixt the
French nation and their demagogues, on behalf of the
revolted states;  the whole carol is to the tune of "God
save the King."
  Next in our song shall be
  Guardian of liberty,
  Louis the King.
  Terrible God of war,
  Plac'd in victorious car
  Of France and Navarre,
  Louis the King.
